In this month’s supplement cabinet, in the spirit of being “Green” for
the health of our planet, we are recommending something wholesome
for your home – LDC cleanser by GNLD.
All of the surfactants in LDC are biodegradable, which means that
they are broken down by natural biological action. This capability
helps to eliminate suds and foaming problems in our lakes and streams.
It does not harm septic tanks, sewage disposal systems or water
treatment plants.
Read on for a wonderful story of how LDC saved the lives of African
penguins…
In June 2000, during the endangered penguins’ mating season,
an iron ore carrier called the MV Treasure sank 8km off
the South African Coast, releasing 13,000 tons of fuel into the
water. The Treasure leak caused a coastal bird crisis,
smothering over 19,000 African penguins with thick, black oil.
Oil is not only toxic when ingested, but it affects penguins’ natural
waterproofing, reducing their buoyancy in the cold Atlantic waters
and putting them at risk for hypothermia, starvation and death.
To help with the enormous task of cleaning the penguins, GNLD rushed
7500 liters of its all-natural cleanser, LDC, to SANCCOB (South
African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds). LDC’s
eco-friendly, pH-neutral formula had the oil-dispersing power needed
to clean the birds, while remaining gentle enough not to harm them,
or the humans washing the penguins. The initial bulk donations
were just the first step in recovery for the penguins. The scale
of the damage was massive, and 15,000 birds were still covered
in oil. Thousands more liters of LDC were required to give the
penguins the chance of survival. GNLD distributors from around
the world contributed US$20,000 worth of LDC to the recovery operation.
The GNLD community provided what the thousands of SANCCOB volunteers
needed to clean the penguins and the survival rates for the oiled
penguins saved during the Treasure disaster reached an
astounding 91%.
For the health of your family and for our planet, I ask you to
consider switching to the completely biodegradable LDC cleanser
for your home cleaning needs. Please log onto http://thecenterforoptimalhealth.gnld.net to
